BEN DOAK became one of Scotland’s most expensive players when he sealed his £25million move to Bournemouth from Liverpool.
And on the same day, the former Celtic starlet decided to change his NAME.
Doak, 19, burst onto the scene as a 16-year-old for the Hoops in January 2022 after impressing for the youth teams.
Six months later he was snapped up by Liverpool and since then he has gone on to become a key player for the Scotland national team.
Last season he was loaned to Middlesbrough and was one of the top performers in the Championship, scoring three goals and seven assists.
He was linked with summer moves to Crystal Palace and the Reds’ Merseyside rivals Everton, but instead opted for Bournemouth on the south coast.

Celts will bank a seven-figure sell-on fee from the sale, with Bournemouth paying out £20m up front and another £5m payment in add-ons.
Doak himself was unveiled last night but fans were surprised to see he was going by a new name.
“Bro just spawned with a new name,” said one.
Another exclaimed: “Welcome who!?”
Before a third asked: “Where’s Gannon come from?
The Cherries’ social media post welcoming the player read: “Ben Gannon Doak.
“The newest recruit at #afcb.”
Which led to plenty of questions from punters.
One fan asked: “Swear he was just Ben Doak yesterday, has he changed his name?”
And in a similar vein, this fan said: “He’s changed his name? Fair enough.”
Indeed, the player has requested to be known as Ben Gannon Doak going forward, with Gannon Doak to appear on his shirt rather than just Doak.
That’s because he wants both his parents names to be represented.
