WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO has returned to training after posting sparring footage – fuelling rumours of a comeback.
Klitschko retired after defeat to Anthony Joshua in their Wembley classic in 2017, snubbing a rematch to hang up the gloves.
In the years since, talk of a return bout has persisted but that cooled down when Klitschko bravely enlisted in Ukraine’s reserve army in Kyiv following Russia’s invasion in 2022.
His brother Vitali is the Mayor of Kyiv and continues to provide support amid the ongoing war.
Oleksandr Usyk and Vasiliy Lomachenko were both given exemptions to box despite signing up to serve their countries.
It remains to be seen whether Klitschko will return to do the same – but fans are already speculating the heavyweight great is gearing up for a comeback.

Klitschko’s 11-year undefeated streak was ended by Fury in 2015 – but their rematch failed to materialise.
And after Fury spent two years on the sidelines amid a battle with depression, Klitschko instead fought and lost to AJ.
The former unified world champ was briefly linked with a 2019 Wembley fight against Dillian Whyte – before reaffirming his retirement.
Last year, Ring Magazine reported that Klitschko, 49, was “seriously considering” a comeback to make boxing history.
George Foreman became the oldest heavyweight to win the world title after knocking out Michael Moorer aged 45 in 1994.
And Klitschko is believed to have been eyeing that record as a sensational return to the ring remains on the cards.
