DANIEL Arzani has spoken out about his future as the out-of-contract winger has been talked up for a Hearts move.
Reports have linked the former Celtic kid to Derek McInnes’ Tynecastle side as his time at Melbourne Victory looks to be coming to an end.
And the Australian international has discussed how the upcoming 2026 World Cup is a massive factor in any decision he might make.
The Socceroos play Saudi Arabia on Tuesday with a win or draw enough to guarantee a place at next year’s tournament.
With that in mind, the 26-year-old is already casting his eye towards making his mark on the world stage with a place in the squad.
He said: “I think anyone now, any of the boys looking to move or off contract, that thought process will be in their head.

“It’s a big deal, a World Cup, it’s massive – everyone wants to be a part of it.
“It is going to be really competitive and we have a lot of talent coming out of Australia as well.
“I think it is definitely important that if I go somewhere that I’ll be playing week in, week out.
“I’m not sure what I am doing yet, what direction I am heading in but that’s definitely part of the equation.”
Arzani’s previous spell in Scotland was ruined by injury not long after he made the move to Parkhead.
In August 2018 he moved to Manchester City from Melbourne City, who share an ownership group.
He was quickly loaned to Brendan Rodgers’ side on a two-year deal, but tore his ACL on his debut against Dundee and went on to make just one more appearance in green and white.
Thereafter he was loaned to Utrecht, AGF, and Lommel for short and quiet spells before permanently returning to his homeland where he has enjoyed better fortunes.
The Jambos already have a number of new players joining up this summer.
Christian Borchgrevink, captain of Norwegian side Valerenga, put pen to paper as early as April.
Former Morton player Oisin McIntee will be making the switch from Walsall.
And Greek winger Alexandros Kyziridis will be arriving off the back of a 13-goal season in Slovakia.
