A FORMER Celtic star is opening a new restaurant in Glasgow.
And its location is little over a mile away from Celtic Park.
Grosso Glasgow is set to open later this month on Duke Street in Dennistoun, and its owner is ex-Celtic, Dundee and Peterhead midfielder Simon Ferry.
After coming through the youth ranks at the Hoops, Ferry went on to play for Swindon and Portsmouth down south before returning to Scotland in 2014 with the Dee.
He now leads the successful Open Goal podcast, which has struck up partnerships with several famous brands and venues including food venues such as The Drake, betting site SBK and clothing company Bee Inspired.
And alongside his wide Stephanie, he had a vintage clothing business called Haven’t Got A Stitch To Wear.

Ferry, 37, remains involved in football in his role as assistant boss at East Kilbride.
But he’s now branching out into the restaurant game himself.
Grosso will set up shop at 424 Duke Street in the East End.
A TikTok video posted by the restaurant sees the ex-footballer standing outside the venue speaking to a couple and teasing the opening date as September 24, 2025.
A separate video in July showed work being done to refurbish the interior of the site.
The restaurant will have an Italian-American vibe and room for around 36 covers.
Plans for the the new venue were submitted to Glasgow City Council in April 2025.
The building was previously occupied by a Lloyds TSB bank, which closed in 2021.
