Villa, Blackburn, Real Blizzard and Enforcers have all advanced from the group stage of the Fort Road Community Football League following the completion of preliminary matches at the Fort Road playing field.
Villa and Blackburn, with nine and four points respectively, advance from Group A while Real Blizzard, with six points and Enforcers, also with six points, come out of Group B. The teams will now meet in a playoffs-formatted battle with number one from Group A facing number two from Group B while Number two from Group A will face number one from Group B.
The two winners will advance to the final while the two losers will play for third place. The playoffs are slated to kick off on July 22. Fort Road and West Ham FC, both with one point, were eliminated from Group A while Exclusive Ballers and Earthquake were eliminated from Group B.
Following the preliminary round, Tyrik Hughes of Villa is the league’s top goal-scorer with seven strikes while Jahlarnie Barzey (Villa) and Zahwanza Celestine (Real Blizzard) both have four.
