Freetown secured a comfortable four-wicket victory to level the series with Mahico Cricket Club at Clare Hall on Saturday in the ACB Antigua Richie Richardson Parish League best-of-three finals opener.
Batting first, Mahico were dismissed for just 92 runs despite a fighting 35 from Greg Skepple. The only other contributors were T. Francis (16) and Stephen Fane (14) as Austin Richards Jr. (2/8) and Jamaul Fernandez (2/20) starred with the ball for Freetown.
Chasing 93, Freetown stumbled to 93/6 but Cleton Payne‘s unbeaten 32 guided them home. Mahico fought back through Tanez Francis (2/12) and Dion Samuel (2/23), but fell just short.
The final match was played on Sunday and at the time of this report, Freetown had batted first scoring 162 for five from their 30 overs while Mahico was at the crease on 27 for one.
