The semi-final stage of the Parham Super League saw Garden Stars FC and defending Champions Pigotts FC secure their spots in the final with victories over Potters FC and East Furlong FC respectively.
In the opening semi-final, Garden Stars FC delivered an impressive display to defeat Potters FC 3-1. The victors took control from the outset, with Wilden Cornwall Jr breaking the deadlock in the 15th minute to give his side the perfect start.
Garden Stars continued to press their advantage as the first half progressed, with Courtney Clarke emerging as the star of the show. The prolific striker doubled the lead in the 32nd minute before completing his brace just five minutes later in the 37th minute, sending his team into the halftime break with a commanding 2-0 advantage.
Potters FC showed character in the second half, pulling one back through Keon Greene‘s 41st-minute strike that briefly raised hopes of a comeback. However, Garden Stars had already established sufficient breathing room, and they managed the remainder of the contest professionally to secure their place in the final.
The second semi-final between Pigotts FC and East Furlong FC told a completely different story, with both teams locked in a tactical battle that remained goalless at the interval.
The deadlock was finally broken 10 minutes into the second half when Karique Knight found the breakthrough for Pigotts FC in the 55th minute. The goal seemed to release the tension that had gripped the match, and Pigotts doubled their advantage 10 minutes later through Kamari Elien‘s 65th-minute effort, effectively sealing their progression to the final.
The contrasting styles of both semi-finals set up an intriguing final matchup between the victors when they meet on Sunday evening at 6:30 pm.
