GARY NEVILLE was applauded by former England captain Michael Vaughan as he showed off his cricket skills.
The Manchester United legend proved he was handy with a bat as he demonstrated some serious technique.
Neville is best known for his time at Old Trafford, where he made 602 appearances under Sir Alex Ferguson.
The 85-time England right-back won eight Premier League titles, three FA Cups and two Champions Leagues with United.
But things could have turned out differently had he taken up a career in cricket.
As a youngster, Neville was also a talent with a bat and ball.

His father was a former league cricketer, and Neville starred for Lancashire’s U14s before eventually taking up football.
However, the ace showed he’s still got what it takes at the stump as he joined ex-England captain Vaughan on The Overlap and Betfair’s Stick to Cricket show.
The pair played together as schoolboys at the Bunbury Cricket Festival.
And Neville left Vaughan impressed as he demonstrated some serious techniques.

After Neville hit a ‘Baz Ball’-esque shot, Vaughan declared: “That’ll do, he’s got the tricks!”
Fellow ex-England ace Phil Tufnell added: “Very nice, positive stride, high elbow, head over the ball, very good.”
He also said: “Gary’s got a little bit of a Brian Lara high backlift there!”
Neville had his say too, noting: “Someone told me, get the (bat high) as I used to have a problem going across the lines at times!”
He also revealed that his budding cricket career was brought to a halt by Manchester United icon Sir Alex Ferguson, who wanted Neville to focus on his football.
He added: “When I was 16 and joined United, in the summer I carried on playing cricket.
“I just didn’t think anything of it, you just played cricket in the summer and then a picture went in the local paper.
