A hattrick from Da Paul George provided the foundation for Greenbay Hoppers’ seven-nil trashing of Blue Jays, the largest margin of victory in the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association’s (ABFA) First Division on Tuesday.
George hit the back of the opponents’ net in minutes 31, 57 and 81 as the former top flight champions rallied to their biggest margin of victory so far this season. Former national player, Jari Jackson (52nd), Tyree Archibald (78th) and Je’Taime Barrett (85th) all struck once in the convincing win. An own-goal from Blue Jays’ Kishorn Hamilton who inadvertently put the ball into the back of his own net in minute 45, accounted for Hoppers’ other conversion.

Also on Tuesday, former Premier Division champions, SAP FC, were 4-0 winners over neighbours Bolans FC in a round-south derby contested at the FA’s Technical Center.
Tyrique Tonge was in clinical fashion in the first half, completing a hattrick in just little over a half of an hour. He struck in minutes 11, 12 and 31 while Dow Southwell rounded off the scoring in minute 75.
There was victory as well for Young Lions FC as they beat Fort Road 2-0. Geraldo Browne in the 26th and Jahiem Hazelwood in the 40th minute were on target for the victors.
