The Grenada Football Association (GFA) on 7 May received a significant donation of football equipment from the British High Commission in collaboration with the English FA during a brief ceremony held at the GFA Secretariat.
The contribution underscores the ongoing commitment of the British High Commission to support football and national development in Grenada.
This donation follows productive meetings last year between GFA President Marlon Glean, representatives from the British High Commission, and the English Football Association (English FA). These discussions paved the way for collaboration aimed at enhancing the infrastructure and resources available to football in Grenada.

Glean expressed gratitude for the support. “This equipment is a boost to our ongoing efforts to strengthen football in Grenada. The partnership with the British High Commission and the English FA is invaluable,” Glean stated, “We look forward to using these resources to inspire the next generation of Grenadian footballers and strengthen our clubs and national teams.”
“Grenada and Britain have long held a shared passion for football. I’m very grateful to the England Football Association for donating this equipment, and the Grenada FA for their partnership, so that countless more Grenadian youth will have the opportunity to enjoy the sport and train to become the future stars of the Grenada national team,” said British High Commissioner Victor Clarke.
Today marks a positive step forward in the FA’s ambition to further develop football as the key sport and social activity.
