THE Green Brigade have vowed to ‘acceleration actions’ against the Celtic board after their ‘condescending and insulting’ statement on Saturday night.
The Celtic ultras blasted the statement that was released by the club in response to fan fury over the club’s summer transfer business.
The 1000-word statement failed to put fuming fans at ease as the under-fire board revealed they will NEVER change their signing policy because they don’t want the club to be at risk, despite having vast cash reserves.
Since it was released, several fan groups have made their feelings loud and clear towards club chiefs.
Michael Nicholson and other senior boardroom figures sat down with representatives of the Celtic Supporters’ Association (CSA), the Affiliation of Registered Celtic Supporters’ Clubs and the Association of Irish Celtic Supporters’ Clubs.
It was then revealed that the CSA had declared a vote of no confidence in the current custodians when Saturday’s statement was released.
Now the Green Brigade have confirmed they will hold a meeting on Wednesday to come up with a plan on how best to confront under-fire chiefs.
This could include protests or public campaigns aimed towards the club’s hierarchy.
Ahead of that meeting, the Celtic ultras group have urged those attending to complete a survey to ensure a swift process when planning their chosen campaign.
A statement released by the Green Brigade today reads: “There is currently a simple survey in circulation to all signatories of the recent Open Letter to the board.
“The results will be shared with signatories at a meeting on Wednesday.
“The survey is intended to aid and accelerate potential objectives and actions against the board.”
The fan groups had submitted seven questions in an open letter to the board questioning what they described as a ‘disastrous’ window for the Hoops.
And despite the various meetings with board members in recent days, the Green Brigade claim those questions have still not been answered.
A statement read: It said: “Irrespective of the condescending and insulting content of this statement, 350+ Celtic fan entities representing tens of thousands of Celtic fans around the world have signed an open letter with 7 explicit questions – these questions, and those asking them, have been ignored.”
