WEST HAM secured their first home win since February as they grabbed a much-needed 3-1 victory over Newcastle to boost their survival hopes.
The Hammers went behind in yet another game this season as Jacob Murphy cut in and rifled home superbly from outside the box – his second strike in as many games.
But Lucas Paqueta replied with a fabulous long-range effort of his own to level the scores in the 35th minute.
Just before half time, Sven Botman agonisingly poked the ball into his own net from Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s cross to give the struggling Hammers the lead.
West Ham then added a third in stoppage time through Tomas Soucek to confirm a vital three points, which was their first since August and their first at home since a 2-0 win over Leicester on February 27.
