Harrison Center secured a narrow 2-1 victory over Ottos Comprehensive School in Boys U-20 action on Tuesday at the Keithley Sheppard Recreational Park, in the Joma Caribbean Ministry of Sports School League Competition while Sir Novelle Richards Academy and Jennings Secondary School played to a goalless draw.
OCS struck first when Demarre Swift found the net in the 15th minute, giving his side an early advantage. However, Harrison Center formerly known as A.B.I.C.E responded in the second half with Xarik Richards equalizing in the 53rd minute before an own goal from OCS’s Elisha McDonald in the 65th minute sealed the victory for Harrison Center.
In the other fixture, SNRA and JSS battled to a scoreless stalemate, with both defences standing firm throughout the contest. Neither side could find the breakthrough needed to claim all three points.
All Girls U-20 matches scheduled for Tuesday were postponed due to unplayable pitch conditions at the ABFA Technical Centre. The wet and deteriorating surface made it unsafe for play, forcing organizers to reschedule the fixtures. New dates for the postponed matches are expected to be announced shortly.
