A SCOTTISH football club is claiming a unique first – by offering season tickets to DOGS.
Players will be hoping that this pawsome idea will help raise the woof off their stadium.

Cowdenbeath FC in the Lowland League reckon they are the first club in Scotland to offer special season books for fans’ four-legged friends.
The Fife outfit, nicknamed the Blue Brazil, are based at Central Park in the town and currently play in the Lowland League, following their relegation from League Two in 2022. They had previously been park of the professional leagues since 1905.
Already the club have their first canine season ticket holder, a Shih Tzu called ‘Ozzy Pawsbourne’ who is known affectionately as ‘The Prince of Barkness’.
Cowden say he will be seen around the stadium in his club jacket, cheering on the team from the newly-named ‘Woofside Stand’.

And any other pups who wish to join him will be given special lanyards and photo ID.
The club said in a statement: “When Cowden appointed a new commercial manager who’s Cowdenbeath FC daft and dog mad, the club probably should have expected something like this…
“The Blue Brazil have officially become the first (we think) football club to launch season tickets for dogs – giving loyal four-legged fans the chance to join their humans on matchday at Central Park.
“The quirky new initiative celebrates Cowdenbeath’s reputation as one of Scotland’s most welcoming and community-focused clubs.
“The Dog Season Ticket even comes with a personalised lanyard, photo ID, and access to the specially designated ‘Woofside Stand’.
“Fans can expect plenty of tail-wagging at upcoming fixtures, as well-behaved dogs are now officially invited to enjoy the matchday atmosphere alongside their owners.”
Commercial manager Graham Lyons said the initiative began as a fun idea before taking the next step.
Pooches will be subject to some rules, including remaining on a lead at all times.
The club say pets must refrain from chasing players, the referee or the ball (though barking at the match officials will be tolerated “within reason”…)
Lyons added: “It started as a bit of fun, but Cowdenbeath FC has always been about inclusion and community spirit — and that extends to our furry supporters too.
“Football brings people together, and dogs are very much part of that family!”
Entry for dogs will remain free but the season ticket itself will cost £25 as a one-off.
English non-league club Peckham Town of the Kent County League released dog season tickets in 2024 while Scottish Championship side Partick Thistle previously allowed for dogs to attend matches for free.
