TEMPLEGATE’S picks for Sunday’s action are below.
Back a horse by clicking their odds.
BOSTON JOE (2.50 Ffos Las, nap)
He showed some promise over fences last season, particularly when second here on his latest chase in April. He jumped better that day and clearly likes the track having won here before. He was sent back over hurdles by local trainer Rebecca Curtis for his return here last month and shaped well in third. But connections clearly see him as a chaser now and he’s back over the bigger obstacles in what looks the softest race he’s faced so far. His hurdles win here came from a similar mark and this looks a good chance.
INTO THE PARK (1.30 Sandown, nb)
Went down by just a neck at Uttoxeter on comeback 23 days ago. He wasn’t helped by being hampered jumping the second-last hurdle which stopped his momentum. He can go one better here.
HURRICANE PAT (2.05 Sandown, treble)
He won two of his three bumpers including on debut here this time last year. He finished the season with a smooth success at Chepstow and should make a nice hurdler.
COURTLAND (3.15 Sandown, Lucky 15)
The Bowen team has been in solid form and this veteran was going well when unseating at Ascot last time. He stays well and handles any ground so should be right there.
