RANGERS’ move to appoint Kevin Muscat has STALLED according to various reports.
It’s another twist in the Light Blues’ seemingly hapless pursuit of a replacement for sacked Russell Martin.

Rangers axed Martin two weeks ago after just four months in charge.
That decision came amid a horror run of form that saw Martin win just five of his 17 games in charge.
The process to find a replacement has been anything but straightforward.
Former Gers boss Steven Gerrard was installed as the early favourite and looked set to be making a dramatic return to the Ibrox dugout.

But last Saturday, the bombshell news dropped that Gerrard had withdrawn from the race.
Ex-Sheffield Wednesday head coach Danny Rohl then became the favourite but he too pulled out of consideration.
That reveal came after SunSport exclusively told you that Kevin Muscat had emerged as a serious contender for the job.
The 52-year old subsequently held talks with the Gers’ US supremos Andrew Cavenagh and Paraag Marathe.
With ex-Gers star Muscat still in post at Chinese club Shanghai Port – who are deep in a title race in the closing stages of their season – a delay in him taking up position at Ibrox seemed a potentially necessary part of appointing him to the role.
But now, doubts have emerged over Muscat even accepting the role at all.
Despite suggestions last week an agreement was close, the treble-winner’s appointment now doesn’t seem so certain.
TalkSPORT are reporting that a deal for Muscat is now in limbo.
The former Australia international held talks with the Gers’ US supremos Andrew Cavenagh and Paraag Marathe and it appeared to be progressing well.
However, the reports claim that things have stalled after Muscat met with chief executive Patrick Stewart and sporting director Kevin Thelwell.
