
Tyrik Hughes registered a hattrick while Mali Johnson had a double as Villa hammered neighbours Blackburn 8-2 when they met in the Fort Road Community Football League on Thursday (July 11).
Hughes struck in the opening minute and followed up with two second half strikes, hitting the back of the net in minutes 52 and 60. Johnson supported with goals in minutes nine and 25 while there were single conversions from Jah-Quane Richards (20), Dejarnie Moore (27) and Jahlanie Barzey (58).
Diondre Harrigan scored both goals for Blackburn with strikes in minutes 23 and 60.
The competition continues Saturday when Earthquake face Enforcers at 4:00 pm and Fort Road play Blackburn at 5:30 pm. Both matches will be contested at the Fort Road Playing Field.
