HUGHIE Fury was looking to get more rounds in the tank – but his tune-up in Holland was over before it really got going.
An entertaining first minute of his encounter with fellow-Brit Michael Webster saw a good old fashioned scrap as both men got in close and let fly.
Just as Fury gained an advantage and backed Webster into the corner, the underdog signalled to the referee he was injured and couldn’t continue.
Fury gets himself a technical knockout in the first round, but he won’t be pleased with the work he’s done.
He did not get the rounds in, nor did he really sharpen his tools for the tougher assignments that he craves ahead.
Hughie did get on the microphone after the fight to apologise to the Dutch audience for not getting to see much of him in action.

At least the Brit did showcase some punching power as he moved Webster around in their brief bout.
Fury made his way to the ring with his dad, Peter, accompanying him to DMX, no less.
The win moves him to 31-3, and after losing nearly three years of his career to a rare skin condition and long Covid, the 31-year-old is desperate to work his way back to contention again.
This won’t have helped him do that, but at least he’s active again and on the road to bigger and better fights.
