HYRON SHALLOW copped the Most Valuable Player Award in the 2025 edition of the SVG Masters 20/20 competition that ended last Sunday, December 7, at the Sion Hill Playing Field.
Shallow, a former St Vincent and the Grenadines and Windwards batter amassed 593 runs, inclusive of one century and four half centuries. He thus scored the most runs and was also rewarded.
To the good, Shallow, who represented champions- RSVG Police, also collected nine wickets.
Meanwhile, Rajiv Roberts of North East scalped the most wickets- 19. It was the second straight such accolade for Roberts, who was the top wicket -taker in the Festival Division of the 2025 International Masters Competition held during this country’s Independence celebrations.
Also rewarded were the other century makers. Joining Shallow were fellow Police players- Mc Leon Williams and Neil Baptiste;
Newborne Joseph of Stubbs; and O’ Neil Thomas of Mustique Company Masters.
Meanwhile, two bowlers captured five wicket hauls. They were Olanzo Jackson of RSVG Police who snared 6 for 6 versus Sion Hill ;and Mahlon John of North East who took 5 for 12 against Glamorgan. RSVG Police won the title for the fourth successive year.
