SIR ALEX FERGUSON has praised the impact of three of Manchester United’s summer signings.
United are on a five-game unbeaten run and won successive Premier League matches for the first time in 20 months in October.
Manager Ruben Amorim won the Manager of the Month award for October while winger Bryan Mbeumo received the Player of the Month accolade.
Mbeumo joined United from Brentford in July for £65million rising to £71m and has scored six goals in 12 games.
Matheus Cunha became United’s first summer recruit from Wolves for £62.5m and has become a growing influence but new goalkeeper Senne Lammens has arguably been the most surprising success story.
Lammens, 23, made his debut in the 2-0 win against Sunderland last month and United are yet to lose a game with the Belgium international in goal.

Ferguson, who is in Bahrain for a racing meeting, said: “The manager’s had some good signs, particularly the goalkeeper.
“He’s been outstanding. He’s only played three or four games, and he’s looking really good.
“And the boy Mbeumo and Cunha, the players from Wolves and Brentford, they’ve added to it.
“I hope the manager gets a bit of success because at United you need to have success and there are signs they are getting better.”

United lost three of their first six Premier League games this term and were humiliatingly eliminated from the League Cup by fourth-tier Grimsby Town at the first hurdle.
Speculation surrounding Amorim’s future has quietened since United embarked on their undefeated run and they have risen to a respectable seventh in the league table.
Ferguson, who turns 84 on New Year’s Eve, is still a regular at Old Trafford and was in attendance for United’s first win at Liverpool in almost ten years in October.
The Scot admitted he is “enjoying” watching United again.

He told Raceday RTV: “I think back-to-back wins is something teams like United should always expect.
“But having gone through a cycle where it’s improved where it has to come by waiting and being patient, I’m enjoying it now.”
