OLLY MURPHY
X-FACTOR — STRONG LEADER
“We are going to keep him to flat tracks and he is likely to start at Wetherby in the West Yorkshire Hurdle before heading back to Newbury.
“We could be bold and go to Ireland over Christmas. He is nowhere near his best at Cheltenham, but he is a very good horse when he gets his conditions. Aintree is his race, he loves it there.”
HANDICAPPER — INDEEVAR BLUE
“We will start off in a novice handicap chase over two or two and a half miles somewhere and work our way up.
“I would be very disappointed if he wasn’t rated better than 126. He hasn’t had a clean run of things, but we are on top of things now.”

DARK HORSE — WILSTAR
“He was a very weak four-year-old that has just improved and he is potentially my best novice hurdler.
“The race he won at Perth was a good race. He is a very good jumper. All he will do is improve through the season.”
FERGAL O’BRIEN
X-FACTOR — TRIPOLI FLYER
“He was a bit unlucky at Perth the other day. He jumped well on the whole, but just made a bit of a novice mistake.
“He will learn from that. He could go to Exeter on November 17th and then we will make a plan. The hope is that he is running in graded races later on.”
HANDICAPPER — JACK HYDE
“He won first time out this season at Newton Abbot and he then things didn’t go his way in the Persian War. He’s on the right mark going forward.”
DARK HORSE — MIDNIGHT JUKEBOX
“He is a lovely horse that belongs to the Noel Fehily Syndicate. He was very impressive in his point-to-point and they paid a good bit of money for him.
“He is not in the yard yet, but we’re looking forward to getting him in bumpers in the new year.”
JAMIE SNOWDEN
X-FACTOR — WENDIGO
“It was a shame he didn’t win on his chase debut at Worcester, but he looked the class horse through the race and jumped and travelled well.
“I’m sure he will end up being a class horse over fences. He should definitely be a graded novice chaser.”
HANDICAPPER — ADMIRAL STEWART
“He only had three runs over hurdles last season and I expect him to be a better chaser than a hurdler. You would like to think he is well handicapped.”
DARK HORSE — KOSAC D’OUDAIRIES
“I love this chap. He should be clued up enough to be a nice novice hurdler this season. He does want it softer.
“I think he can go in graded novice hurdles. He is not slow so we will stay over two miles to start with, but he will stay well.”
