IT’s not often that a footballer’s dad becomes one of the most recognisable faces at a club.
But that has certainly become the case for the father of Rangers striker Danilo who is often the star of the show whenever he turns up to support his son.

Marcelo Silva has become something of a cult figure in the Rangers support for his continuous backing of his son’s team on matchdays.
You can always count on him being there whenever Danilo steps up with a goal or big performance for the Light Blues.
And he wasn’t shy on Wednesday when the Rangers striker hit the back of the net to inspire a 1-0 victory over Hibs at Easter Road.
Despite scoring his rare goal for Rangers, Danilo still managed to get outshined by his father who was in amongst the away crowd in Leith.

He was pictured bouncing around after watching his son hit the back of the net for Rangers.
And as the game progressed into the second-half, with the Gers still 1-0 up, he was even seen waving a Rangers flag in amongst the crowd.
He kept the party going the following morning too as he posted a video of him dancing on his Instagram story.
He appeared in Rangers tracksuit bottoms and top, with the KC and the Sunshine Band song That’s the Way (I like it) – which has become a favourite of Hibs fans for away matches – on in the background.
Danilo’s No1 fan will no doubt be in the crowd again on Sunday and will be hoping to see his son score in his third consecutive game in the cup semi final.
Ahead of the huge Hampden showdown, Silva was given a VIP tour of Ibrox with his son and conducted an interview with Rangers TV.
He was shown around the stadium with special access and even met mascots Broxi and Boris Bear.
They were aptly met with a bear hug and even handed him a special gift – an away Rangers top with DA-NILO on the back.
Danilo translated for his father as he thanked the Rangers support for welcoming him to the fan base with open arms.
In the interview, Danilo said: “He (Silva) said he is really glad to be part of the Rangers team as well as the fans to celebrate the victory together.
“He always likes to be part of it. I sometimes don’t know what he’s doing, but that’s the Adrenalin that’s inside of him.
“It feels like a warm welcome with the Rangers fans so I’m very thankful for that.
“He never dreamed of experiencing moments like that so we’re really thankful.”
