ARNE SLOT fumed after VAR ruled out a Virgil van Dijk goal in Liverpool’s 3-0 defeat to Manchester City.
The champs were blown away at the Etihad as they fell further behind leaders Arsenal in the title race.
Erling Haaland, Nico Gonzalez and Jeremy Doku all scored for City.
And things could have been even worse had Giorgi Mamardashvili not saved an early penalty from Haaland.
However, Liverpool thought they had levelled things up in the first half when captain Van Dijk headed home from a free-kick.
The centre-back powered his effort past Gigi Donnarumma to boost Liverpool’s morale away from home.

But his celebrations were short lived when VAR, headed up by Michael Oliver, controversially ruled that Andy Robertson had strayed offside.
The left-back did not touch Van Dijk’s header as it hit the back of City’s net.
But Robertson was instead deemed to have interfered with play by standing close to Donnarumma, despite not being directly in front of the goalie.
The VAR decision left Liverpool incensed as they went on to be hammered.

And speaking after the final whistle, Reds boss Slot went on the attack as he blasted referee Chris Kavanagh and VAR for their “obvious and clear” mistake.
He even pointed to ref Kavanagh allowing a similar goal by Man City to stand in their game against Wolves last season.
John Stones scored a last-gasp winner despite Bernardo Silva appearing to block Jose Sa, with the goal given after a lengthy VAR review.
Slot said: “It’s difficult for me to give my view about it. I think it’s obvious and clear that the wrong decision has been made, at least in my opinion.
“(Why do you think that?) Because he (Robertson) didn’t interfere at all with what the goalkeeper could do.
“Immediately after the game, someone showed me the goal, that what the same referee allowed City against Wolves last season.
“So it took the linesman 13 seconds to raise his flag to say it’s offside. So there was clearly communication.
“But, as I said, that could have influenced the game in a positive way for us, because in the first half we were so poor.

“But, yeah, a set-piece can make a difference. And now we conceded the 2-0 from a set-piece. That was maybe a fair reflection of the first half, by the way, us being 2-0 down. But that’s maybe not what it’s about.”
