HE’S been at Rangers, Queens Park Rangers and now Queen’s Park.
Rocco Friel’s career path sounds like a phone-in quiz question.
Now he wants to answer the call from ex-school coach Sean Crighton.
Right-back Friel, 18, has joined the Spiders on loan from QPR.
He’ll make his debut against Ayr at Somerset Park today, and can’t wait to show Queen’s Park boss Crighton how much he’s developed.
Friel said: “I’ve known Sean for years and he’s been great with me.

“He was involved with me in the SFA performance school at Holyrood.
“We worked together for three or four years and he got to know me as a player and a person.
“It’s good to be back working with someone I trust and who trusts me.
“I joined Holyrood when I was 12 and finished at 15.
“I was at Rangers at the same time and was there from the Under-10s.
“I left to sign for Hearts at 15 and spent a couple of years there.
“I moved to QPR after their recruitment staff took me down.
“I train with the Under-21s and first-team and played over 30 games for the Under-23s last term.
“The idea now is for me to go away and play men’s football for a while.
“I need to go and play games and gain the experience that I need.
“The physical side of the game up here in the Championship is something you won’t get in Under-23 football.”
Friel is now back home in Castlemilk with dad Brian and mum Colette.
He added: “I’m living at home while I’m here.
“I don’t know if my dad is glad to have me back, moreso my mum!
“I travelled back up last Monday and had my first training on Thursday.
“It was good to meet the lads and I really can’t wait to get started.
“I know every game will be tough but I can’t wait to begin.”
Both Ayr and Spiders are chasing a first league win of the season.
