Myers, who was pivotal to Napoles’ opening PLB campaign last season, opened the Closing Championship in the 38th minute, calmly converting a penalty after Belmopan committed a foul inside the box. His finish not only put Napoles ahead but also set the tone for the visitors, who looked sharper and more composed after taking the lead.
In the second half, Gabriel Ramos Jr, who delivered a strong supporting performance, doubled the advantage in the 58th minute, finishing a well‑timed attacking sequence.
Belmopan pulled one back in the 70th minute through Jahiem Mena, but Napoles managed the final stretch well to secure all three points in the PLB opener.
The rest of the Opening Weekend saw Progresso FC defeat Capital Sport Club 3–0 in Orange Walk, while the Port Layola vs Wagiya match was postponed due to an unplayable pitch at the Marion Jones Sports Complex due to rain.
