BRIGHTON star James Milner made history against Manchester United by breaking a very unique Premier League record.
Milner, 39, came on as a second-half substitute as he replaced Carlos Baleba in the 59th minute on Saturday at Old Trafford.
And the versatile midfielder registered an assist in the second minute of stoppage time to make it 3-2 and put the trailing visitors back in the game.
The former England international delivered a sharp corner-kick from the right and found fellow sub Babis Kostoulas at the near post.
Kostoulas, 18, met the ball with a powerful header that gave United goalkeeper Senne Lammens no chance as it hit the back of the net.
Milner has amassed a total of 136 assists throughout his celebrated 23-year career across all competitions.

EARLY EXIT
Bryan Mbeumo and Amad’s blossoming bromance makes Afcon all the more troubling
However, even the Liverpool hero probably didn’t know his most recent one might have been the most special.
That is because the ex-Manchester City star’s cross at Man Utd marked the first time ever in Premier League history that a player provided an assist to someone who wasn’t born when the former made their Prem debut.
Milner made his bow at the English top flight on November 10, 2002 for Leeds at West Ham when he was 16 years old.
That was five years before teenage sensation Kostoulas was born in Greece on May 30.

Milner registered his 645th Premier League appearance at Old Trafford – out of which he has added a total of 56 goals and 87 assists.
That was also Kostoulas’ first ever senior goal for Brighton following his £34million arrival last summer from Olympiacos.
The versatile forward has made a total of four appearances with Fabian Hurzeler’s side across all competitions this season.
Nevertheless, Milner and Kostoulas’ historic contribution couldn’t help Brighton leave Manchester with a result as the hosts won 4-2 thanks to a late strike by Bryan Mbeumo.
