JEAN-PHILIPPE MATETA has told Crystal Palace he wants to leave this month.
Italian giants Juventus are interested in a mid-season deal, though have seen any approach rejected by Palace so far.

Premier League rivals Aston Villa have also been linked with a move.
Mateta’s desire to leave will only add to Palace’s miserable month.
Captain Marc Guehi has already joined Manchester City in a deal worth £20million.
And manager Oliver Glasner announced his exit at the end of the season before launching a scathing attack on the club’s hierarchy.

Mateta, 28, is also thought to have frustrations over Palace’s recruitment since qualifying for Europe last season.
He initially struggled in the Premier League after joining from Mainz in 2021 but has flourished under Glasner.
Since the Austrian’s arrival at Selhurst Park, Mateta has scored 42 goals in 90 games, having scored 16 in his previous 90 for the club.
The France international has just 18 months left on his deal in South London.

There have been disagreements between Palace and Mateta over what he is worth when it comes to wages, meaning he is open to a move away from Selhurst Park.
Palace’s only other option up top, Eddie Nketiah, is injured.
They have been tracking Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen this month.
Mateta has found the back of the net 10 times in 33 appearances this season.
