JESURUN RAK-SAKYI could miss out on a move to Rangers after Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner dealt the Light Blues a sucker blow with his recent comments.
SunSport understands the 22-year-old wide-man is open to joining the Ibrox club after Russell Martin made him a priority target this window.
Rangers are keen to bring him to Ibrox on a season-long loan and also face competition from a handful of English Championship sides.
SunSport were first to reveal that Gers were eying him up following his impressive loan stint at Sheffield United last season.
An option to buy clause has also been mooted should they land the 22-year-old.
But Palace boss Glasner appears to have shut the door on a potential Gers swoop amid concerns about his club’s recruitment this summer.

Rak-Sakyi is currently an injury concern for the gaffer after he limped of during their friendly win over Crawley Town on Friday.
The full extent of his knock is currently unknown but whether he’s fit to play or not, Glasner has revealed he’s not prepared to lose ANY of his players before their Community Shield clash with Liverpool on August 10.
He’s currently short of bodies in his first team and doesn’t want to sell ANYONE until he makes more signings.
He told Austrian newspaper Kronen Zeitung: “Even though all the players are still here, we haven’t made the most of the transfer window so far.
“I was promised that we would be more active and bring in the new players earlier this year.
“As of now, I have 17 outfield players. I hope we don’t lose any more.
“If that happens and we get four new ones on deadline day like last year, another false start is possible.”
Gers boss Martin was quizzed on Rak-Sakyi earlier this week.
Martin said of Rak-Sakyi this week: “There are a lot of players we have been linked with.
“Some wide of the mark, some very close and some spot on.
“He is a player I liked at Southampton, we tried to take him there and it didn’t quite happen.
“He is a player I like and I think the recruitment staff like him too, how far that has gone I’m not too sure.

“He is a really good player. We look at all sorts of different profiles that we think can help the team. It doesn’t have to be just one sort of profile.
“Players are very different. We just need the ones with the right mentality who are desperate to come here and we will see where we are in four weeks’ time.”
