Rakeem Joseph uprooted the plowed the hapless defence of Garden Stars on Saturday registering a total of four goals when Old Road met them at the ABFA Technical Centre on Saturday.
The Old Road side put on a clinical display, dismantling Garden Stars 5-1, thanks to Joseph who was exceptional with an impressive four-goal haul with strikes in the 19th, 34th, 65th, and 90th minutes. Courtney Clarke scored a consolation goal for the Stars in the 38th minute while Carlos Molina completed the rout with a goal in the added minutes of extra time.
Another encounter saw Grenades narrowly defeat Aston Villa 2-1, as Barrington Clarke scored in the 32nd minute before Eroy Gonsalves equalized in the 86th though Stanley Province provided the winner in the 90+4’ minute.
Home side Pigotts Bullets secured a comfortable 4-1 win over Attacking Saints. Akeem Isaac (11′, 90′), Joshua Ferdinand (67′), and Sujae McBean (71′) were the main contributors in one sided performance. Joshua Samuel (19′) provided a levelling goal at the 19’ minute but that was quickly usurped in the second half which saw three goals scored.
