NEWPORT’S game against Notts County was delayed after a fan fell ill in the stands – causing an air ambulance to land on the pitch.
The League Two game was due to kick off at 3pm.
But Newport broke the news that a fan in the stands had fallen ill and required the services of an air ambulance.
Newport posted online: “Due to a supporter being taken ill in the stands, an air ambulance has landed on the pitch.
“A delay to kick-off is likely, with more details to follow ASAP. We send our very best wishes to the individual concerned.”
