LEON EDWARDS failed to stop his recent rot as he was brutally knocked out by Carlos Prates.
The former king of the welterweights locked horns with the fan favourite on a stacked UFC 322 at Madison Square Garden early this morning.

Edwards, 34, entered the MSG melee on a two-fight losing streak and his relevance at the top of the division on a knife edge.
But the Brummie proved he’s still a force to be reckoned with a victory over the surging Brazilian.
Edwards had vowed to remind the world he was still the man at 170lbs earlier this week.
In an exclusive interview with SunSport, he said of fans switching up on him: “That’s just fickle, fickle fans for you. That’s all it is. I understand the game. The game is: What have you done for me lately?

“I understand the game. When I go out there Saturday night and I spark Prates, everyone will be like, ‘Oh my God.’
“‘He’s the best in the world, [give him a] title shot.’ Blah blah blah.’ That’s the game. It’s what it is.”
He added: “I’m excited, man. My energy is there and I’m just ready to go. I will show the world once again who I am, and it starts on Saturday night.”
