LUKE LITTLER has endorsed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s potential return to Manchester United.
Solskjaer, 52, has emerged as a strong contender to lead the Red Devils as interim boss until the end of the season.
The United legend performed a similar role following the sacking of Jose Mourinho in 2018, prior to landing the job full-time.
Having been sacked in November 2021, Solskjaer could now return to United following Monday morning’s departure of Ruben Amorim.
Littler, 18, would appear to be excited by the prospect of the Norwegian’s return.
The two-time reigning darts world champion, who is a huge United fan, posted a report linking Solskjaer to the job to his Instagram story.

He then added: “Ole’s at the wheel.”
Solskjaer left United having won 91 of his 168 games in charge – a win percentage of 54.17.
The popular former Red Devils striker did not manage to win any silverware, however, losing to Villarreal in his only final at the helm in the 2020-21 Europa League.
Amorim, who also lost a Europa League final as United boss, left with a shocking 38.10 per cent win rate – the worst of any Old Trafford boss since Frank O’Farrell in 1971.

Speaking in September, Littler claimed that United’s players had to take a fair share of the blame for the club’s recent woes.
The Warrington wonderkid told the Express: “Obviously people are saying ‘Amorim out’ but you’ve got to look at the players.
Ruben Amorim SACKED

Ruben Amorim has been SACKED as manager of Manchester United!
The Portuguese boss has been involved in a war of words with the club hierarchy in recent days, hitting out at transfer policy and his postition as ‘coach’ rather than ‘manager’.
Now he is gone – with the likes of Gareth Southgate and Enzo Maresca among the favourites to take over at Old Trafford.
Man Utd currently sit sixth in the table but Amorim hardly set the world alight at the club.
In fact, he leaves with the WORST win rate in the Premier League of any permanent boss – just 31.9 per cent.

“Some of them don’t fit the system, I don’t think. I think it’s going to be very tough but as long as we get into the top-eight Conference League, that’s what I’m hoping for.”
In addition to Solskjaer, Michael Carrick is also being eyed as a potential caretaker boss.
The ex-United midfielder, who was sacked by Middlesbrough at the end of last season, was Solskjaer’s assistant at Old Trafford and served as a caretaker boss following his pal’s sacking.
Either man could be appointed after Wednesday night’s trip to Burnley, which is being overseen by Darren Fletcher.
United chiefs are on the hunt for Amorim’s long-term successor.
Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner and Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola – both out of contract with their respective clubs at the end of this season – have emerged as the early front-runners.
