BEN SHALOM has issued a health update on Chris Eubank Jr following his rematch loss to Conor Benn.
Eubank won the initial second generation grudge match last April in an epic showdown at the Tottenham Stadium.

But on the return in North London in November, he was comfortably beaten over 12 rounds and was even dropped twice in the final round.
In the aftermath, Eubank suffered health issues and posted worrying footage from a hospital bed, leaving his boxing future in doubt.
Promoter Ben Shalom says the 36-year-old star is hungry for a return – but only when the time is right.
Shalom told SunSport: “I was with him last week, he’s in a good place.

“He’s a super-middleweight and what he did last year was very, very tough on his body, not to mention the medical things that he had to deal with.
“At his best and at his fittest, he is one of the best fighters in the whole division.
“We want the big fights. Every time Chris Eubank Jr fights, it’s an occasion.
“I’ve promoted him five times. Every one box office, and that will continue.

“He’s looking forward to being back, but he wants to come back fit so we’re still probably about six months away from his return.”
Eubank missed the 160lb limit by a whisker of just 0.05lb before the first fight but made weight in the rematch.

He was restricted to a 10lb rehydration clause in both bouts – meaning he had to step on the scales alongside Benn, 29, on the morning of the fights.
Eubank accepted the terms and was paid a higher purse for doing so – but Shalom has previously admitted it was “dangerous” and that “it won’t happen again”.
