TWO English Premier League clubs are leading the hunt for Rangers star Nico Raskin amid the Belgian star’s troubled recent relationship with Russell Martin.
We told you how the fan favourite would play no part in Sunday’s Old Firm clash amid criticism of manager Martin from the player’s father, Thierry.
Gers supporters aren’t happy about the news with Raskin a huge fans favourite – but it’s believed backroom staff and senior figures within the squad have given the bombshell decision the thumbs up.
And now it’s being reported by Belgian transfer spcialist Sacha Tovalieri that Crystal Palace and Wolves are leading the chase for the midfielder.
He claims that Rangers have “opened the door for a departure” and “would accept a loan with a mandatory option”.
They add that his situation will be “defined by the end of the window”.

Palace are managed by Oliver Glasner, who knows all about Rangers after taking them on as Frankfurt boss in the Europa League final in 2022.
They’ve got money to spend too after the sale of Eberechi Eze to Arsenal and amid speculation that Marc Gueye could move on too.
Raskin’s dad was quoted as saying: “A coach who leaves out 8 players from a team that reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League last season, a coach who transfers 8 players (and puts them in the team) that he knows very well (this kind of thing still exists!!!!!) but guys who come out of nowhere and the guy has an oversized ego, and that’s an understatement, he thinks he can go and play a match for the Champions League.
“This football world is incredible…”
Were they to move on from Raskin, Rangers would need to source a suitable replacement with time ticking down on the window.
Asked about the situation on Friday, a tetchy Martin said: “I think everyone is here, everyone is available, and the squad and the team will be picked on what we think is the best way to win the game.
“Nico WAS in training today.
“The whole squad is here.
“Things can change, the transfer window is open so I can’t tell you if anyone is definitely going to be in the squad or not.”
