MANCHESTER UNITED players hit the ice baths and saunas as soon as they returned to their training ground after beating Liverpool.
The United squad arrived at their Carrington training complex at 9.30pm on Sunday night, five hours after kick-off at Anfield.
With the players determined to maintain the momentum of a first victory at Anfield since January 2016, some squad members started their recovery immediately.
The new £50million first-team hub at Carrington opened in August and features an upgraded steam room and sauna, as well as cold and hot plunge pools.
Well-placed sources were struck by how reined-in United’s dressing room celebrations were after they ended their ten-game drought at Premier League champions Liverpool.
United players reported at Carrington on Monday for a designated recovery day before their day off on Tuesday.

Gakpo did get on the scoresheet with one of his many chances as he tapped in almost on the goal-line.
But Man Utd weathered a storm from the Reds and Bruno Fernandes’ brilliant assist allowed Harry Maguire to head home the winner.
