Money Saving Expert has shared a savvy trick that will help you double your Tesco Clubcard points – but you’ll need to act fast before the deadline hits
Money Saving Expert (MSE), the savvy saver’s go-to resource founded by Martin Lewis, has revealed a nifty trick to double your dosh with the Tesco Clubcard app. By converting a mere fiver, you could see it transformed into £10.
The financial whizzes at MSE are calling this a “no-brainer” and are encouraging anyone with 500 or more Tesco Clubcard points to “convert [points] into £5 in Clubcard vouchers if you haven’t already.”
But you’ll need to act swiftly, as they highlight: “The basis for this is that until Tuesday 29 July, Tesco is offering 1,000 bonus Clubcard points for anyone converting Clubcard vouchers into a range of Days Out Reward redemptions.”

When you spend 500 points in-store at Tesco, they’re worth a fiver, but swap them for tickets to top attractions like Blackpool Pleasure Beach, The London Eye, or Chessington World of Adventures, and suddenly they’re worth a tenner. And if those options don’t tickle your fancy, there’s a whole host of other experiences to choose from, reports Chronicle Live.
How to convert Tesco Clubcard points
MSE advises even the most adventure-averse to get in on the action. “Even if you don’t want a day out, just do it with the minimum £5 voucher as you get back 1,000 bonus points. You double what you started with, as those 1,000 points can be converted into a £10 voucher”, they insist.
Shoppers take note: the deal is capped at one redemption per Clubcard account, and the bonus stays at 1,000 points no matter how much over £5 you swap. Disney+, Cineworld, and Picturehouse are sitting this one out – they’re not part of the promo.
If you fancy using your £10 Days Out Reward – brilliant. But there’s a tip from MSE: “Tesco confirmed to us you don’t need to actually book or attend anything. Just exchanging the voucher is enough to trigger the 1,000 bonus points.”
Typically, the reward is good for six months, but it can differ, so make sure to have a gander at the T&Cs for your chosen treat. Expect the converted points to pop into your Clubcard account by mid-October, with Tesco’s T&Cs stating: “1,000 Clubcard points (worth £10) will be credited to eligible Clubcard accounts by 19 October 2025.”
Wrapping up their Tesco tips, MSE adds: “After your 1,000 points are converted to vouchers, you can use them on anything – £10 of food shopping or £20 off any Tesco Reward Partner (not just days out).”
