After two seasons with Cardiff City Women, Molly Kehoe, 20, Caymanian semi-professional footballer, has recently signed with a new club.
Kehoe, who plays attacking midfielder, has joined West Bromwich Albion FC Women, a move she said is a step forward in the right direction for her career.
The move, officially completed on 21 July, marks a pivotal moment for Kehoe, who says, “I hope to bring my creativity and positively impact the team in the new season by creating scoring opportunities and getting some goals myself too.”

She has already been integrating with her new teammates, having participated in pre-season training and games for the past three weeks roughly, with the first league match set for 17 Aug.
Kehoe’s decision to join the Baggies, a tier three club in the FA Women’s National League North division, was influenced by several key factors, most notably the club’s “massive” size “with a lot of history”.
“After going on trial with them for a few days, I really enjoyed the group of girls and the manager’s style of play,” she added.
She expressed her excitement about joining Albion and growing with her new teammates, noting that she will reunite with two familiar faces from her Cardiff days who are already on the squad.

Manager of the Albion Women, Siobhan Hodgetts-Still, said on Albion’s website, “I’m delighted to have Molly join the squad for the upcoming season. She really impressed us during our pre-season preparations, she’s a versatile attacking player who can play across the forward line.”
She added, “She’s technically gifted and tidy on the ball, and is always forward thinking when in possession, which is something that really excites us. We’re looking forward to having her settle in with us and seeing her grow over the coming weeks and months – and we’re sure she’ll have a big impact for us this year.”
Kehoe says she is looking forward to playing in a different league and refining her game in the new competitive landscape.
