The Corporation of Hamilton will hold a municipal election to fill a seat made vacant by the death of Lawrence “Larry” Scott.
Mr Scott, a former political figure and radio host, died this month at the age of 78.
The Parliamentary Registry Office announced today that the seven-day voters’ registration period was open and will end on June 2 at 5pm.
Only business ratepayers are eligible to take part in the extraordinary municipal election, to be held on July 1 at St Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church’s Centennial Hall.
Registration forms are available at the Parliamentary Registry on the third floor of Craig Appin House on Wesley Street in Hamilton.
Business ratepayers may verify their registration details by visiting the Parliamentary Registry’s website at elections.gov.bm.
Nomination day for candidates will be on June 17.
