THE son of a darts legend has lashed out online over a defeat – before deleting the post.
Mason Whitlock – the son of legendary figure Simon ‘The Wizard’ – vented his frustrations after a heavy defeat to Robin Pietsch.

In a post, that has since been taken down, he wrote: “I’ve never in my life dealt with more tactics and blatant cheating. Embarrassing tbh.”
His 5-0 hammering brought an abrupt end to his progress in the European Q-School – a qualifying competition that provides the opportunity to win a PDC Tour Card – at the last 128 stage.
Just weeks ago, darts fans were treated to the return of dad Simon at Ally Pally.
The Wizard qualified for the World Darts Championships – but his hopes of a dream run at Alexandra Palace ended at the first hurdle.

Mason dreams of following in the footsteps of his dad and has previously revealed he would be delighted with a “third” of what he has achieved.
Speaking in March last year, he said: “If I can achieve a third of what he’s achieved in his career, I’d be happy with myself.

“I want to win a Development Tour, win a MODUS and next year, I want to get my Tour Card. That’s my goal.”
Another goal down the line for Mason was to make an appearance in the Premier League Darts, like his old man.
He added: “Once I hone that consistency and start throwing those 90 / 95 plus averages every game, then I could see myself there in five years!”
