LEROY ROSENIOR, the dad of Chelsea’s new manager Liam, made history for all the wrong reasons at Torquay United.
His tenure lasted just 10 MINUTES with the Gulls when he was appointed manager for a second time in 2007.

Leroy was appointed Torquay manager, just as the club were being taken over by a local consortium.
Torquay chairman Mike Bateson informed him of the news just minutes after he had signed his contract for the top job.
That meant he was left with an unwanted record for holding the shortest spell as a professional football manager in England.
Rosenior Snr said: “I went down, did the press conference and Mike rang me about 10 minutes later.

“I thought he was joking but he said you’re not going to believe this, but they’ve given me the offer I want so just hold tight, and we’ll get it all sorted.
“It’s weird because I was there previously for four years, got promoted and had some wonderful times as manager.
“But everybody talks about the ten minutes. It wasn’t really an issue because I was never really in situ.
“I was pleased that Mike had managed to get the money that he wanted for the club, and we all moved on.”

The 10-minute stint broke Dave Bassett’s four-days as Crystal Palace manager in 1984 – which had previously been the shortest tenure in charge in the history of English football.
Rosenior was previously in charge of Torquay United for four years and guided them to promotion to League 1 in 2004.
The new owners that took over included Torquay solicitor Cris Boyce, the son of the club’s former chairman, Tony Boyce.
Ex-Gulls player and coach Colin Lee was appointed director of football and one his first moves in charge was to remove Leroy as manager.
He replaced him with former Brentford midfielder Paul Buckle.
Leroy will be hoping Liam doesn’t follow in his footsteps at Chelsea, having been appointed as manager at Stamford Bridge.
Liam had managed Strasbourg since 2024 and led them to a seventh-placed finish in Ligue 1 last season.
