NICKY HENDERSON has stepped in to foot all bills for legendary racehorse Sprinter Sacre’s recovery.
The iconic Seven Barrows handler views his star two-mile chaser’s condition as a ‘blank cheque’ scenario and will pay whatever it takes to make sure he is OK.

Cheltenham Festival legend Sprinter Sacre’s plight became apparent when news of a GoFundMe page aiming to raise cash for vet bills spread online.
The nine-time Grade 1 winner, who had been loving retirement at the grand old age of 20, had injured his leg.
Sun Racing columnist Matt Chapman explained exactly what had happened in a social media post on Wednesday morning.
His post came amid confusion over the donations page.
He wrote: “Sprinter Sacre/Gofundme update. Essentially current owners were in a panic.
“A week ago he got a knock on his inside splint bone. Would have healed on its own. But he is at @sevenbarrows vet and all bills being paid for by Hendo.
“Two little pieces of bone being removed.”
With the situation in hand before the GoFundMe page was established, Henderson wants to see the money donated there either returned or sent to a charity such as Racing Welfare.
