NICO RASKIN will return to Rangers first-team training — but knows he has to earn his spot back in the side.
SunSport understands the midfielder has held showdown talks with boss Russell Martin.
It’s believed Raskin, 24, accepts he has to win back the trust of his team-mates.
Martin bombed him out of the squad for last month’s Old Firm game.
And, while he will be involved in the build-up to Saturday’s clash with Hearts, he knows his first-team return won’t be immediate — or a formality.
Martin sensationally axed Raskin for the clash with Celtic following his conduct behind the scenes.

Dad Thierry publicly accused the gaffer of an “oversized ego”.
Staff and senior stars are believed to have backed the decision and Raskin was sent to train away from the first team.
After scoring his first international goal in the 6-0 World Cup qualifying win over Kazakhstan, Raskin jetted back to Glasgow vowing he wanted to sort out the feud.
Martin had previously claimed Raskin was one of the players in his squad whose head had been turned by transfer speculation over the summer.
Raskin’s initial omission from the Gers line-up came with the transfer windows in England, Scotland and most of Europe still open. Even after the deadline passed here the windows in his homeland, Turkiye and Saudi Arabia were still options.
But £10million-rated Raskin continued to insist he would stay and fight for his Ibrox future.
He said: “I’m going to do my best to turn it around. I know I can be important for my club. I have a good relationship with the fans.
“My situation at the club is complicated. I’ll try to sort it out but it’s not just up to me.
“I absolutely love Rangers. I try to give my all.
“Do I want a transfer in the coming weeks? No, that is not the intention.
“I want to regain my place in the team. It’s not an easy situation.”
