ABERDEEN fell to a 2-0 defeat to Rangers at Ibrox in the first game in the post-Jimmy Thelin era.
And eyebrows were raised by punters and pundits alike when they saw WHO was in the Dons dugout.

Headers from Emmanuel Fernandez and Nicolas Raskin gave the Gers their lead in the first-half.
Danny Rohl‘s men saw out the rest of the game to see-out an in the end comfortable 2-0 victory.
It’s a big win for Rohl’s side as it moves them up to second in the Premiership table above Celtic.
For Aberdeen, it was a 10th defeat in 21 league games this season and leaves them languishing in eighth position.

The Dons dismissed Jimmy Thelin as manager on Sunday night in the wake of Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Falkirk.
Peter Leven was placed in interim charge ahead of the trip to Ibrox.
Leven, as you’d expect, was therefore in the dugout in Glasgow – but he was NOT alone.
Aberdeen sporting director Lutz Pfannenstiel – who is leading the search for the new manager – was ALSO in the dugout alongside Leven.
TV cameras cut to the sidelines showing Pfannenstiel in Leven’s ear during the game.
An executive being in the dugout certainly isn’t what you normally see and as you might expect, plenty of eyebrows were raised.
New Kilmarnock assistant manager Billy Dodds was on commentary duty for BBC Sportsound and he couldn’t really believe what he was seeing.
Ex-Rangers and Aberdeen man Dodds said: “It wouldn’t be for me. I don’t want my director of football on the bench.
“I just don’t think it’s a good look.
“I heard Willie (Miller) talking about what somebody like Derek McInnes would think about it.
“For me, it’s a no-no. Yeah, you can talk before the game but not on the bench.”
Fans were similarly baffled by Pfannenstiel taking his place in the dugout.
One said: “What a shambles of a setup.”
A second added: “Very strange.”
A third simply asked: “Why?”
While another posted: “That’s not a good look”
Another fan said: “That’s got to be a first for Scottish football”
Asked after the game, Leven insisted on Sky Sports that it was “great” to have Pfannenstiel alongside him.
