That’s a trick question, because we know you are. At least you better be. (You can probably tell that we are since we’re posting about this on Monday, a full four days until the first race.)

Mid-October means it’s time for the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational in Madison, Wisconsin, and the Pre-National Invitational in Columbia, Missouri.

You’ll see the usual assortment of top-ranked teams take on the Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course in Verona, Wisconsin. Six of the top-ten squads from the Men’s National Coaches’ Poll and five of the top-ten teams from the Women’s National Coaches’ Poll.
While only one top-ten team will be in the men’s race at the Pre-National Invitational, fans will be treated to a barnburner between top-ranked BYU and No. 3 Florida in the women’s race.
