The double Olympic 100m and 200m champion returned to competition at the SW Isaac Henry Invitational and ran 7.20 seconds in the 60 ...meters — hitting the World Indoor Championship qualifying standard.
After injuries and time away from the track, fans have been waiting to see if the Jamaican sprint legend can return to her best form. With rivals like Julien Alfred, Sha’Carri Richardson, Shericka Jackson, and the Clayton twins pushing the level of women’s sprinting higher than ever, the road back to the top will not be easy.
But this performance shows there may still be plenty left in the tank for the fastest woman alive over 100 meters.

In this video, we break down the Top 5 Caribbean Performances at the 2026 NCAA Indoor Conference Championships, highlighting the athletes who stood above the rest and showed why Caribbean talent remains a powerful force in the NCAA system.
The list begins with Jamaica’s Oneka Wilson, who captured her fourth consecutive ACC title in the 60-meter hurdles with a strong run of 8.12 seconds, cementing her place in conference history. Another Jamaican hurdler, Tonie-Ann Forbes, followed with a stunning personal best of 7.91 seconds at the Big 12 Championships, placing her among Jamaica’s all-time fastest performers in the event.
Sprint excellence continued with Shenese Walker of Florida State, who secured the ACC 60-meter title with a championship-record run of 7.13 seconds, demonstrating elite consistency throughout the indoor season.
The field events also delivered standout Caribbean performances. Kelsey Daniel of Trinidad and Tobago produced a remarkable leap of 8.21 meters to win the SEC long jump, setting a national record and leading a Caribbean 1-2 finish alongside Jamaica’s Jordan Turner.
At the top of the list is Adaejah Hodge of the British Virgin Islands, who delivered one of the most impressive performances of the meet. After a disappointing 60-meter final, Hodge returned to the track and ran a blazing national record of 22.32 seconds in the 200 meters to win the SEC title and move into the global rankings.
These performances highlight the incredible pipeline of Caribbean talent competing in the NCAA system and set the stage for what could be an exciting NCAA Championship.
