Partick Thistle vs Celtic preview
A spot in a Hampden semi final is up for grabs when Partick Thistle host Celtic on Sunday.
Thistle arrive overwhelming underdogs but also couldn’t come into the game in better form.
Mark Wilson’s side have won four games in a row after a late come-from-behind win over Airdrie last time out.
Their home record is even more impressive with six wins and a draw from the last seven Firhill contests.
But it’s a tough ask against this Celtic team who are grinding out results.
You’d argue they were looking fortunate to hold on for a point at Rugby Park last weekend, only for Matthew MacDermid and John Beaton to hand them a quite outrageous penalty in the final minute.
A quite ridiculous decision rightly slammed on Ref Watch and only a few minutes after a couple of penalty shouts for Killie quickly glossed over.
The Chadwick Stand was far from empty during the first 12 minutes as the fans took action to protest against the board but it was quite significant and it’ll be interesting to see if they continue this week.
The 2-1 victory made it two wins from the last five games for Brendan Rodgers’ side, with Sebastian Tounekti a real standout.

Forrest bump
James Forrest could come in from the start for Celtic with changes to be made with Michel-Ange Balikwisha toiling and perhaps one or two to be rested.
Has had plenty of game time this season and yet to produce in final third but this looks ideal opportunity for 34-year-old.
Interestingly, he played in a Scottish Cup quarter final against Thistle seven-and-a-half years ago and bagged a hat trick….
