Potters Tigers delivered an upset to third place Villa Lions, prevailing with a 5–1 victory as Keon Greene stole the spotlight by netting a superb first-half hat-trick in an entertaining encounter.
The second round of the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association Premier League got off to an absolute flyer as Greene opened the scoring early, finding the back of the net in the 7th minute before doubling his tally in the 16th. Villa Lions briefly threatened a comeback when Jahlarni Barzey pulled one back in the 21st minute, but any momentum was quickly halted as Greene completed his hat-trick with a clinical finish in the 32nd minute, restoring Potters’ two-goal cushion.
Potters Tigers maintained control throughout the second half and added further gloss to the scoreline through Javorn Benjamin and Jamour Martin, sealing an emphatic win and underlining their attacking firepower.
In the second match of the evening, Pigotts Bullets edged John Hughes 1–0 in a tightly contested affair. The decisive moment came early, as Tyrique Thwaites struck in the 11th minute, a goal that proved enough to separate the sides despite John Hughes pushing for an equaliser.
The night concluded with a commanding display from former Champions and chart toppers Jennings Grenades, who handed neighbours Jennings United 5–0 in a one-sided contest. Stanley Province was the standout performer, registering the second hat-trick of the day with goals in the 27th, 31st, and 75th minutes, the latter coming from the penalty spot.
The Grenades’ dominance was further reflected on the scoresheet as D’Jarie Sheppard added a goal in the 32nd minute, while Luis Cuidad Labrada rounded out the scoring with a strike in the 71st minute.
