THE Premier League have confirmed a host of fixture amendments after Uefa club competition schedules were announced.
Six different games have been shifted around by the league, with the changes impacting games across September and October.
Following the draws and fixture announcements for the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League, Prem officials have had to move around the schedule of some of the teams involved in European football.
Bournemouth’s clash with Champions League returnees Newcastle has been moved from a 3pm Saturday KO to a Sunday game at 2pm on September 21.
It’s a boost for Newcastle fans that can’t make the mammoth trip to the south coast as it now means that the Magpies will be live on Sky Sports, rather than resigned to the 3pm blackout.
Two matches have been moved into the lesser-used 8pm Saturday slot too.
Tottenham vs Wolves on September 27, and Brentford vs Liverpool on October 25 will both now occupy the evening space to remain on TV.
While Aston Villa vs Fulham (Sep 28), Everton vs Crystal Palace (Oct 5) and Arsenal vs Crystal Palace (October 26) have all been shifted from Saturday to Sunday fixtures at 2pm.
It comes on the same day that the TV picks for the third round of the Carabao Cup were announced.
The next round follows on from the exits of Manchester United, Leeds and West Ham from the competition.
