In one of his final acts as Principal as the Princess Margaret School (PMS), Dr Colin Greene, will lead a delegation of 14 athletes and four officials to the Trinbago Schools’ Relays scheduled for July 3 in Trinidad.
The popular principal, known for his drive and passion of twinning education and sports, Dr Greene is set to take up the post of Commissioner of Sports on his return, a position once earmarked for former West Indies cricketer, Sir Richie Richardson.
He will accompany a strong contingent of athletes to include junior national selectees Kasiya Daley, Geolyna Dowdye and Shenika Bentick. Also making the trip are Conroy Wilson, Ryan Aikin, Daniel Bailey, Juari Lewis, Joakim Browne, Shamar Walters, Jolisa Cato, Aleema Rhiney, Tianna Henry, Kiara Francis and Rhianna Philip.
Also travelling as part of the management team is Lois Forbes (Deputy Principal), Robyn Nathaniel (PRO) and Chevaughn Walsh (coach). This year marks the second year in a row that PMS will attend the event.
PMS finished ninth overall in both the girls and boys division of last year’s edition of the competition after racking up a total of 36 points to finish ninth from among 26 schools in the girls division and amassing 34 points to finish in a similar position in the boys division. A total of 29 teams competed in the boys division.
