National youth footballer Nafisa Quashie scored an amazing six goals on Friday in the match between Antigua Girls’ High School and Jennings Secondary School (JSS) in the Ministry of Sports Cool and Smooth/Joma Caribbean School Knockout Cup.
The young striker registered goals in the 15th, 27th, 33rd, 50th, 52nd, and 58th minutes as Na’fireh Wijnaldum added the seventh goal in the 57th minute to complete the rout.
Another girls match witnessed Sir McChesney George Secondary School (SMSS) defeat Ottos Comprehensive School (OCS) 2-0, with Shanika Burton scoring both goals in the 57th and 59th minutes to secure their advancement to the semifinals.
In the boys matches, Harrison Center and Irene B Williams Secondary ended goalless after regulation time, leading to a penalty shootout that Harrison Center won 7-6. As a result, the victory secured their place in the semifinals alongside Antigua Grammar School (AGS) and JSS who had previously qualified.
The final semifinal spot remains to be decided, with Princess Margaret School (PMS) set to face Clare Hall Secondary School on Monday. The winner of that match will complete the four-team semifinal lineup.
